“True Christians are assured that no temptation (or trial) shall happen to them but what they shall be enabled to bear; and that the grace of Christ shall be sufficient for them.”
~ Roger Sherman, Signer of the Declaration of Independence.
He has made provision for our every need in Jesus Christ!
Sometimes, as we witness or share a tract, we meet the trial of rejection, but God’s grace is sufficient even in that. He will enable you to bear that trial—It is His goal to get His gospel out to people, and you are just one of His instruments!
“For Christ sent me … to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God … Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;” (1 Corinthians 1:17-18 & 25-27)
The world sees it as foolishness, and some will reject it (Him, not us); but we go in the name and power of JESUS! It is His power flowing through us and giving His strength that enables us to share—and to face whatever trials come our way.
1 Chr. 29:11-12 “Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.”
